dacryagogue ( ) n. An agent that stimulates a lacrimal gland to secrete, promoting the flow of tears. This agent may be a solid, liquid or gas  but in the majority of cases the agent is a manifestation of life working in conjunction with the most common six facial emotions; happiness, surprise, anger, sadness, fear, and disgust/contempt.
